LEPTOSPERMUM

The common name ‘TeaTree’ is derived from the practice of the early settlers who soaked the leaves of several species in boiling water to make a tea substitute.
The characteristic five petalled flowers have a dainty appearance and are produced in profusion. They attract many bees and butterflies.
Tea Trees are from a hardy and adaptable genus that grows in many sizes from tall shrubs to procumbent plants.
Pruning is beneficial to shape and longevity of the plant
