Waterway Explorers: Macro Invertebrates & Water Science Workshop
Step into the shoes of an environmental scientist and explore the hidden world of our waterways with Education Officer Nick. In this hands-on workshop, children will collect and examine macro invertebrates — tiny water creatures that tell big stories about the health of our ecosystems.
Children will collect and study macro invertebrates - tiny creatures that tell big stories about ecosystem health, from two different aquatic habitats. They will then discover how ECOllaboration uses water-testing equipment to monitor the environment. We’ll compare results, learn what they mean for water health, and finish with a LEGO challenge.
