Meet the Baby Goats Going Viral on the Sunshine Coast

If a small goat in a big hurry has popped up in your Instagram feed lately, there is a fair chance it was one of ours. Our baby goat reel has now passed 300,000 views, and the comments keep asking the same question: where can we meet them? The answer is Fairhill Adventure Gardens at Ninderry on the Sunshine Coast, where all the baby goats are out and about at the Farmyard every day.

If you have not seen it yet, the reel is on our Instagram, and we take no responsibility for the twenty minutes of goat videos that tend to follow it.

When to meet the baby goats

Our ranger-led Fairhill Farmyard Adventures run daily, every half past the hour from 8.30am to 12.30pm. The baby goats feature in three of those sessions:

  • 9.30am and 10.30am: Ranger-led Farmyard Adventures sessions featuring all the baby goats.
  • 12.30pm: Bottle feeding in the Kids' Barn, every day.

If bottle feeding is the moment your family is coming for, plan your morning around the 12.30pm session in the Kids' Barn. A child concentrating hard on keeping a milk bottle steady while a baby goat does its very best to empty it is a sight the reel only half captures.

More to meet at the Farmyard

The baby goats keep good company. The Farmyard also has a walk-in goats' paddock where you can spend time with the goats up close, baby chicks to meet, and the guinea pigs' tea time, which is exactly as serious an occasion as it sounds.

Planning your visit

Entry to the Gardens Café, Country Store and Nursery is free, so it is easy to make a whole morning of it: a session or two at the Farmyard, then something warm at the café and a browse through the plants. Farmyard entry is $5 per person, and day passes are on our website. You will find us at Ninderry on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

And if you have already watched the reel more times than you would care to admit, the fix is simple. Come and meet all the baby goats in person. They are even better without a screen between you.
