Conditions of Entry
Children and dependents must be supervised by a parent, guardian or designated carer. Fairhill is not a childcare facility.
As a condition of entry, all children and dependents must remain under the direct supervision and effective control of their parent, guardian or designated carer throughout their visit. Responsibility for the care, safety, behaviour and wellbeing of children and dependents rests solely with their parent, guardian or designated carer.
Parents, guardians and designated carers must ensure that children follow all safety instructions, conditions of entry, signage and any reasonable directions given by Fairhill staff.
Fairhill staff are here to operate our facilities, care for our animals and gardens, deliver experiences, and provide exceptional customer service. We are honoured to share this iconic wildlife estate, farm and gardens with our community and visitors, creating opportunities to connect with nature. Fairhill does not provide childcare or assume responsibility for supervising children or dependents.
Our animals’ happiness and wellbeing always come first.
Only children wearing an official Junior Chicken Keeper sticker, earned from a Fairhill Ranger, are allowed to carefully pick up the chickens — and only under adult supervision. No exceptions.
Be gentle, calm and kind at all times. Anyone being cruel will be asked to leave. Children must be supervised by an adult. Our Rangers can teach the correct and safe way to hold a chicken during each half-past-the-hour morning Farmyard Adventures session, and children who qualify by being gentle and confident can earn their official Junior Chicken Keeper sticker. Always use quiet hands and gentle voices around all our animals. Walk — don’t run — in the animal areas, and never chase. Only feed animal food provided and approved by Fairhill. Remember: if a creature walks away, it’s saying, “I’d like some space, please.”

Thank you for being part of Fairhill.
