The gardens as your backdrop
Space to play and pose for photos in one of the prettiest corners of the Noosa hinterland — far prettier than any daycare warehouse.
A puppaccino for the guest of honour
A little cup of frothy goodness made just for dogs, served at the Gardens Café.
A dog-safe birthday cake
A peanut butter & banana cake baked without chocolate, xylitol, grapes or raisins — safe for the birthday pup and pleasant for their humans to share (recipe below).
A get-together for the whole pack
Bring your pup's best mates along — and their people. Settle in at the café for lunch while the dogs celebrate.
Pups who've had their day at Fairhill
Wagging tails, happy faces and the odd treat or two — the gardens make the perfect backdrop for your pup's big day.

Our dog-safe birthday cake
A simple peanut butter & banana cake — no chocolate, no xylitol, no grapes or raisins. Safe for the birthday pup, and pleasant enough for their humans to share a slice too. Want to bake your own ahead of the day? Here's how.
The cake
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- ½ cup peanut butter (xylitol-free — check the label)
- ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce or plain yoghurt
- 1 egg
- 1½ cups wholemeal flour (or oat flour for gluten-free)
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ cup water (adjust as needed)
The frosting
- ¼ cup plain (or Greek) yoghurt
- 1 tbsp xylitol-free peanut butter
- To decorate: dog-safe fruits include blueberries, sliced bananas & sliced strawberries
Method
- Heat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a small cake tin or muffin tray.
- Mash the banana, then mix in the peanut butter, applesauce or yoghurt, and egg.
- Fold in the flour and baking powder, adding water until you have a thick batter.
- Pour into the tin and bake 20–25 minutes (about 15 for muffins) until a skewer comes out clean.
- Cool completely.
- Blend the frosting yoghurt and peanut butter, spread over the cooled cake, and decorate with dog-safe treats or carrot.
A safety note: always use xylitol-free peanut butter, and never give dogs chocolate, grapes or raisins — all are toxic to dogs. Serve in moderation. Recipe adapted from Waggle's Peanut Butter & Banana Dog Cake.
