Land for Wildlife
Protecting native habitats and wildlife across 40 acres of botanic gardens
A Registered Wildlife Sanctuary
Fairhill Adventure Gardens is a proud participant in the Land for Wildlife program – a voluntary conservation scheme that recognises private landholders who provide habitat for native wildlife on their property.
What began over 50 years ago as the Wright family's passion for native plants has grown into one of the Sunshine Coast's most significant private conservation sites. With over 3,000 native species planted across 40 acres, Fairhill provides critical habitat for birds, butterflies, reptiles, and countless other native animals in an increasingly urbanised landscape.
Our Conservation Work
Decades of dedication to restoring and protecting native ecosystems
Habitat Restoration
Over 50 years of dedicated planting has transformed cleared farmland into thriving native ecosystems, including subtropical rainforest, eucalypt woodland, and wetland habitats.
Over 3,000 Native Species
Fairhill is home to one of Australia's most diverse collections of native plants, providing food and shelter for countless wildlife species throughout the year.
Wildlife Corridors
Our gardens connect with surrounding bushland to create vital wildlife corridors, allowing native animals to move safely between habitat patches across the landscape.
Conservation Partnerships
We work alongside Sunshine Coast Council, local Landcare groups, and conservation organisations to protect and enhance native habitats in the Ninderry area.

About the Land for Wildlife Program
Land for Wildlife is a nationally recognised voluntary conservation program that encourages and assists private landholders to manage their properties for wildlife habitat. Properties are assessed by qualified officers and registered when they meet habitat quality standards.
Fairhill's registration recognises the significant contribution our gardens make to biodiversity conservation on the Sunshine Coast. The program provides ongoing support and advice to help us continue improving habitat quality for native species.
When you visit Fairhill, you're not just enjoying beautiful gardens – you're walking through a living conservation project that plays a real role in protecting native wildlife for future generations.
