About this event

National Wattle Day falls on Tuesday 1 September, the first day of spring, and at a native botanic garden that is a day worth a whole weekend. The nursery benches are full of natives ready for spring planting. There is no better week of the year to put an acacia in the ground. Fairhill Farmyard Adventures runs through the morning, the Kids' Barn baby goat cuddles are all morning, and the Gardens Café is open 8am-2pm for a golden spring lunch plus the Terrace Bar & Takeaway for the famous Fairhill Waffle Collection and of course exceptional coffee. Join us to celebrate the Acacias at Fairhill, and choose from our Bird & Butterfly Collections at very special prices!
