Relaxed garden gatherings with a grown-up twist, from boho picnics to sunset get-togethers.

Arrivals at 9am, 10am or 11am, Thursdays to Sundays. Minimum charge is for five children and there is no maximum. Adults come in free and are not counted in your booking numbers. You can change your numbers up to 24 hours before.

What happens on the day
Every party includes the whole of Fairhill and everything on that day. Listen for the gong at Reception and join in. Other families may be along too, and if you would rather have a ranger to yourselves you can add a private tour.
- 8.30amGood morning to the Bantam Pekins and Silkies. Will you earn your Junior Chicken Keeper sticker?
- 9.30amThe Cheeky Chicks Show, where you really do get to hold the chicks, plus the Guinea Pigs Tea Party and the egg collecting expedition.
- 10.30amThe morning farmyard session runs again: another chance for the chicks, the guinea pigs and the egg collecting.
- 11.30amThe Goat Walkabout. Walk the mini goats on their daily promenade to Turtle Lake, feed the ducks, and come back through the gardens.
- 12.30pmThe Kids' Barn, for cuddle time with the baby miniature pygmy goat kids and their bottle feeding.
Plus the farmyard, the Forest Fairy Tale Trail, the Treasure Quest scavenger hunt, the Little Engineers' Dig Zone and Turtle Lake, all at your own pace. Last food orders at the Gardens Café and Terrace Bar are 2pm.
Questions parents ask
- Is there a minimum number of children?
- The minimum charge is for five children. There is no maximum.
- What if some of the invited children do not come?
- You can change your numbers up to 24 hours before.
- What does it cost for parents?
- Nothing. There is no entry cost for adults at a birthday party, and you do not count adults in your booking number. We do recommend booking a table so the grown-ups can order from the Gardens Café.
- Can I bring a birthday cake?
- Yes. Our pastry cooks make cakes to order from $75, but you are very welcome to bring your own. We will refrigerate it until it is time. Bring napkins, plates, a knife and your candles.
- Can I bring my own food?
- We ask that no outside food or drink comes into Fairhill, with the birthday cake as the exception.
- Can I bring my own decorations?
- Absolutely, we love seeing creative party setups. Please take them home with you at the end.
- Can we take leftover food home?
- Yes of course.
- Do you cater for dietary requirements?
- Yes, and please confirm any dietary needs at least seven days before your event. We take great care, but we cannot guarantee meals are completely free from allergens. Our fries are gluten free and cooked in clean rice bran oil. We do not use seed oils, margarine or artificial ingredients.
- What happens if it rains?
- Parties go ahead in all weather. There are covered areas.
- Can I pay in cash?
- Parties are booked and paid for in advance. Online is easiest, or you can call in to Fairhill and pay cash for your booking.
